Child Rights Monitoring and Juvenile Justice

The department is focused on monitoring Child Rights Violations (CRVs) including the effect of conflict on children and promoting the establishment of juvenile justice system along with making it more functional.
The department carries out following activities:
  • Promoting the implementation of juvenile justice system
  • Monitoring of implementation of juvenile justice procedure regulation (JPR)
  • Proactive intervention in the implementation
  • Lobby for establishment of juvenile reform homes
  • Monitoring of detention of children  and taking further measures as necessary
  • Monitoring CRV including the effect of conflict on children
  • Promote accountability on the case of use of children in armed forces (nationally/internationally)
