26 June 2014: AF launched its annual torture report entitled “Promising Development – Persisting Challenges: Trends and Patterns in Torture in Nepal During 2013” on 25 June 2014 in Kathmandu. The report has made it public that out of 3,662 detainees interviewed in 2013, 16.7% detainees claimed that they were subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading during their detention.
