30 August 2013. On the occasion of International Day of the Disappeared 2013, today around 100 human rights defenders and conflict victims participated in a morning rally that started at 7:30 am from Bhrikutimandap all the way to Shanti Bakita in Kathmandu. Artistic paintings, murals, slogans and messages relating to the disappeared were made on the “democracy wall” near Baghbazaar after the rally arrived there at 8:30 am. Victim leaders gave speeches at the program and urged the government to promptly address the problems of the families of the disappeared.
