Torture and Extrajudicial Killing by Nepal Police
Family attempted to file a FIR on December 10, 2009. Jhapa DPO refused. The Ilam Appellate Court in April 2010 quashed a petition to get the FIR registered and for police to initiate investigations on the basis that investigations were already underway. An appeal to the Supreme Court against the appellate court decision is pending.
