31 January 2024, Kathmandu: Advocacy Forum-Nepal (AF) organized an annual planning and orientation meeting from 28 to 30 January 2024 in Kathmandu.
During the three days of the meeting, different sessions were held reflecting on the activities carried out by AF in the Transitional Justice, Prevention of Torture and Juvenile Justice Departments in 2023.
Facilitated by AF’s Founder Dr. Mandira Sharma, Director Bikash Basnet, Province Coordinators, and Programme Officers, achievements, challenges, and learnings in the implementation of activities in 2023 were discussed. Discussions about the way ahead and the expectations for 2024 also took place during the sessions.
The second day of the meeting was entirely devoted to planning for the smooth implementation of all the project activities for 2024. Especially, the planning workshop proved beneficial to the Province Coordinators. With the finalization of the province-wise work plan, they were made aware of the various project activities they are supposed to implement throughout the year.
Other sessions during the meeting included drop box, data management, monitoring and evaluation, regulating administrative, financial, and communication guidelines to streamline channels and processes.
