Advocacy Forum systematically documents the human rights violations committed by the state and non-state actors in Nepal. We continue this work despite the wishes of certain state agents. Once a case is received, Advocacy reacts within 24 hours to develop a strategy for the case. The report is shared with different UN thematic mechanisms and other international human rights organizations such AHRC, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, ICJ, etc.

As a result of our consistent and careful documentation, AF has played a significant role in mobilizing national and international action in response to many human rights violations in Nepal. It is only through the careful documentation of human rights abuses that we are able to intervene to save lives and lobby for reform on an international level. When documenting human rights violations we are very careful to maintain our duty of confidentiality. The information we collect is not publicized unless there is full consent from the victims or their family.
